Prevention of Prostate Cancer... Some good news!

For all our male subscribers and the ladies as well who have a husband, it is important that you read this week's issue.

I am taking a very unusual step this week in suggesting that you read an article written in a publication by a company that could be considered an opposition organization. It's the Life Extension Foundation in Florida. Ironically I used to buy my supplements from them before I became involved in founding Xtend-Life!

Some of their articles are very good and have valuable information. The article in question that I want you to read is about Resveratrol. This is a substance that we have written about before in the Xtend-15sec-News.

Resveratrol is the substance that is considered to be the secret behind the health giving properties of red wine. In addition to the general health and cardiovascular properties more research is surfacing all the time which points to Resveratrol being a very powerful anti-cancer agent.

Some researchers consider it now to be the leading substance in the prevention of prostate cancer.

None of this is news to us which is why we have been using the high potency Resveratrol in our Total Balance formula for not only the current generation but also the previous one. In addition, because we have also known of the powerful anti-cancer benefits of Indole-3-carbinol and how when it is combined with Resveratrol that the two complement each other and increase their respective potencies, we also use that ingredient in Total Balance as well.

Ah... but what is not generally known is that the efficacy can be increased even further by using a special delivery system that can only be achieved via enteric coating the tablet so it is released in the upper intestine instead of the stomach. You can read more about this if you like by clicking here.

Not only that, but by combining it with other substances in the formula we can increase their efficacy even further!

It was good to see that a reputable magazine such as the Life Extension Foundation agrees with us, not only about the Resveratrol but also the combining of it with Indole-3-carbinol. We use DIM Diindolylmethane which is the active metabolite of Indole-3-carbinol. If you would like to know more about this substance we have quite a lot of info about it.

You may wonder why we are prepared to refer you through to an article written by our 'opposition'. The answer is quite simple. It is a valuable article and as good as their products are, they can't compete with us for overall efficacy (delivery systems etc) nor for value for money. We have a policy that unless we can develop a product that exceeds all others in the international market place for both efficacy and value for money, we will not develop it.

When we do develop a product we are constantly reviewing the formulas and making adjustments as new scientific research comes to light. This ensures that we can always ensure that our customers can never find better.

And ladies... the benefits of Resveratrol and DIM are not just for men... they are for everyone, young and old who want to take every practical step possible to reduce their risk of developing cancer.

Remember the old saying "an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure". Even that saying understates the real life situation! Once you develop a cancer your life changes forever and in the case of men with prostate cancer it may also spell the end of their sex life.

Make the effort and take the necessary prevention steps before any signs of a prostate problem emerge!

Hormones?

By the way... another side benefit of taking the Resveratrol and DIM so long as it is in the Xtend-Life Total Balance is that by using the Men's Plus version it will help guard against or even relieve an enlarged prostate whilst at the same time helping balance hormones. We have included specific ingredients that help achieve this.

To illustrate how much it does help, you may like to look at my personal lab results (after almost 2 years on Total Balance only).

IGF-1 (This is how HGH or Human Growth Hormone levels are measured) - Average for my age - 100. My reading - 211 (That's equivalent to an average 21 year old).

Testosterone - Average for my age - 14 - 16. My reading - 36.

You can see copies of these tests by clicking here.

I have never had any form of hormone replacement and all I was taking at the time was our Total Balance. This was before we developed our Omega 3 fish oils and our other newer products which I have now added to my regime.

Oh... and in case you equate high testosterone levels to high PSA levels (Prostate Specific Antigen) have a look at my latest results taken early this year. It was 0.5 which is about as low as you can get. Click here.

In good health,
